A Nobel prize-winner in Economics once described Economics as “the queen of all the social sciences.” Economics is the root science in the Faculty of Economic and Business Management. This means that it forms the backbone of any commercial degree and is one of the basic disciplines in practically all the B.Com degrees.
The Department of Economics offers courses in two fields of interest, namely Economics and Financial Economics. Both can be taken as main subjects in many B.Com degrees.
